Todd Hall’s writing and research focuses on relational approaches to spiritual development and leadership development. He has won awards for his research from the American Psychological Association and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.  Dr. Hall has published extensively in journals such as Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, International Journal for the Psychology of Religion, Mental Health, Culture and Religion, Journal of Family Psychology, Journal of Psychology and Christianity and the Journal of Psychology and Theology.

Dr. Hall co-authored (with John Coe) Psychology in the Spirit: Contours of a Transformational Psychology (2010), part of IVP’s Christian Worldview Integration series. He also co-authored a chapter in Christianity and Psychology: Five Views (IVP, 2011) called Transformational Psychology.  He is the co-author of the forthcoming book, Relational Spirituality: An Integrative Paradigm for Spiritual Transformation, with IVP Academic.

Dr. Hall has developed/co-developed several commercial assessments, including the MCORE, as well as the Spiritual Transformation Inventory (STI), and SpiritPulse, which are among the most widely used spiritual assessment tools among Christian colleges and universities.

He maintains a small clinical practice in which he specializes in attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapy with adults.
