Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 10 to 11 a.m., J.P. Moreland, distinguished professor of philosophy at Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology, and Mike Erre (Talbot ’05), teaching pastor at Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa, gave their perspectives on why so many people are disappointed with God and frustrated with the Church? Their live online video conversation on Conversantlife.com included related questions and was moderated by Jan Lynn (’80), who serves on the board of the Biola Alumni Association.

Viewers were also able to submit their own questions to further the conversation.

“I’m excited about this creative opportunity to connect with people around what I call ‘the God question’,” said Moreland before the event.

Erre added, “I’m just thrilled to be anywhere with JP!”

At the conclusion of the special event, ConversantLife gave away electronic versions of two books:  The God Question by Moreland and Death by Church by Erre.  Both were published earlier this year by ConversantLife and Harvest House Publishers and were made available in their entirety at no charge in a PDF format exclusively at ConversantLife.com.
