Q: What do Kansas and Costa Mesa have in common?

A: They’re the places to go if you’re looking for Oz . . . particularly for Biola alumni and friends on Thursday, March 23, 2011.

One hundred Biola-lovers enjoyed a sold-out evening of great fun and adventure, beginning with dinner at Antonello Ristorante and culminating with a fantastical performance of the wildly-popular Broadway show, Wicked at Segerstrom Center for the Arts (formerly the Orange County Performing Arts Center) in Costa Mesa. The story of “the story before” The Wizard of Oz traces the history between “Glinda the Good” and “Elphaba the Wicked”. Not all is as it seems, the show teaches us. Plot twists and turns, flying monkeys, curious identities revealed, friendships lost and redeemed . . . it’s all just part of a great night of Wicked entertainment!
