STUDIO CITY, CALIF.,— In a speed dating format, Hollywood hopefuls will have the opportunity to pitch ideas to experienced film industry execs in hopes of having their script or idea made into a film and made a reality. Following in the likes of pitch fests at Sundance Film Festival, Biola Media Conference’s Pitchfest will have two tracks — one dedicated to those pursuing television and one for film.

The 17th annual conference held at CBS Studios back lot, held on Saturday, May 5, gathers major Hollywood executives and feature film directors alongside student filmmakers for a one-day conference.

One-on-one in five-minute rotations, writers, producers, and content creators will talk about their ideas and talents. The seated industry professionals interested in taking the creative relationship to the next step can arrange for a follow-up meeting. If not, the professionals will offer advice to the one pitching. Pitchfest falls in line with this year’s conference theme — finding your creative breakthroughs. In placing promising artists in front of those who can help them move their projects toward fulfillment, the conference hopes to help them find their creative breakthrough and make it happen.

The Biola Media Conference attracts more than 600 attendees – making it the largest event in the nation for people of faith working in the entertainment industry. It is known for its intimate and practical conversations with Hollywood leaders, and professional training and instruction from some of the most influential individuals in film, television, public relations, media marketing, management and digital media.
