Christmas Pageant to Inspire and Awe With More Than 200 Performers

Dec. 12, 2013 By Jenna Bartlo

LA MIRADA, CALIF. — “Wondrous Night of Miracles,” a Christmas festival of sacred music, scripture and pageantry, opens Friday, Dec. 13. An extravagant Christmas pageant, featuring more than 200 students and renowned artists, musicians, dancers and performers, replaces Orange County and Los Angeles’ need for a formal Christmas pageant since the Glory of Christmas stopped showing at the Crystal Cathedral in 2008.

"It's going to be a very moving evening as we glorify God through the arts." said Barry Krammes of Biola University’s Center for Christianity, Culture and the Arts. “Biola is ushering in a new tradition with this Christmas festival of sacred music, scripture, and pageantry that will inspire the entire family as we come together to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

One of America’s foremost classical baritones and Biola professor, Richard Zeller, will perform as a soloist and as narrator of the concert. The performance will feature the Biola University Chorale, Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus, King's Men, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Biola Youth Theater, Biola Theater Players and a living nativity. Special guests will be the Southern California Children's Chorus.

The festive Christmas concert will play Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
