New Softball Field Opens with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Monday, January 28, 2013, hundreds gathered in celebration of the newly-renovated softball field. President Barry H. Corey welcomed the crowd and opening remarks were given by Greg Vaughan, the Vice President for Enrollment Management. Lorie Coleman, Biola's head softball coach, and Athletic Director Dave Holmquist spoke about details of the field renovation, showing appreciation for all who have helped to make it happen.

The official ribbon was cut by President Corey along with Greg Vaughan, Lorie Coleman, and Dave Holmquist. The Biola softball team was introduced and the national anthem was performed by Bradley Naden. To end the event, President Corey threw the field's commemorative first pitch.

Complimentary snacks, including cupcakes, popcorn and lemonade, were given out to all the fans in attendance.
