To start off the week, images of nature were displayed onto the Student Union Building Monday Night while “No Impact Man”, an American documentary, was screened in the Business Building. Students enjoyed cookies and lemonade Tuesday night in the Cafeteria Banquet Room as they listened to a panel of speakers discuss futures in “Sustainability Related Careers”.

Throughout the week three featured guests, Robert Campbell, Steve Fitch, and Kristen Rhitza spoke at morning chapels and Afterdark. Thursday afternoon faculty and staff as well as students were invited to shop at the Creation Stewardship Week Farmer’s Market set up outside the cafeteria. Bon Appetite invited local farmers who provided a range of fresh fruits and vegetables. Biola clubs like The Adventure Club advertised themselves and a special performance from The Biola Dance Crew encouraged students to “Recycle It” in an upbeat hip-hop routine.

Students were provided with numerous opportunities to tour the Biola Organic Garden and the Recyclable Plant on campus as well as collect cans and help clean up the creek. The week was brought to a close Friday afternoon as five trees were planted in the new grass area outside Emerson Hall and behind the Cafeteria.
