Feb. 6, 2015 By Jenna Bartlo

LA MIRADA, CALIF. — Biola University’s Conservatory of Music and Theatre Program invite Biola Students and Faculty to join them in their presentation of the award-winning classic Camelot. For the first time since 2012, the two programs have collaborated to provide an amazing musical performance, premiering Friday, Feb. 6.

Biola University’s theatre department strives for its students to understand the power of drama as participants and critics, searching for the creative source within the musical’s narrative. Students are challenged to see the the excellence of their theatrical expressions as a God-honoring practice.

Members of the cast and crew have been working hard to present the story of Camelot, one of the many infamous legends about King Arthur. This performance will highlight Arthur’s struggle to create a knight who seeks to uphold honor and justice, and reveals the struggles he faces on his journey.

Camelot will address the topics of love, honor, justice, and the struggles that exist in day-to-day life. Going since 1960, this classical musical began its journey on Broadway, running for 873 performances, which led to four Tony Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and many more nominations.

Camelot will be hosted in Crowell Hall on the campus of Biola University and will be performed over the weekends of Feb. 6-8 and 13-15. Performances will begin at 8:00 p.m., and at 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.

General admission tickets are sold for $20. Faculty, staff, and alumni are offered a discounted price of $15. To purchase tickets, click here.
