Approximately 400 prospective students and their families attended the annual Spring Preview Day at Biola University Feb. 15-16. All visitors had the chance to tour campus, sit in on classes, go to chapels, meet with department representatives and speak to current students and faculty. Prospective students were also encouraged to stay the night in a residence hall to experience dorm life.

“I loved how welcoming everyone on campus was. You felt like you belonged and were at a home away from home,” said Isabella Galindo, a prospective student from King’s High School in Seattle, Wash. “It was an overall very well-prepared weekend that showed Biola was ready for you to call it your school.”

Sunday evening consisted of a welcome and kick-off dinner for visitors. Dinner was provided for prospective students in the cafeteria, while parents enjoyed a banquet in Chase Gymnasium. Prospective families were invited to Singspiration, a worship chapel that occurs every Sunday night on campus. The night ended with a special dessert reception.

Monday was full of activities, beginning with a chapel led by President Barry H. Corey. Prospective families attended presentations across campus to learn more about the admissions and financial aid process. They were allowed to explore the different parts of the campus community while having a glimpse of what life at Biola is like.

“It was a great opportunity for me to visit Biola and see it for myself,” said Galindo. “It truly is a great school.”

Biola offers multiple opportunities for prospective students to experience campus life throughout the year. Find out more about Biola’s upcoming events.
