Softball Heads To Nationals In Louisiana

Biola Softball selected No. 2 Seed in LSU Alexandria Bracket.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its NAIA Softball Tournament Opening Round seeds on Thursday evening, sending No. 18 Biola as a No. 2 seed to Alexandria, Louisiana.

The Eagles will play from May 11-13 at Generals Field at the tournament host No. 2 LSU Alexandria’s campus. The Generals are the double-elimination tournament’s No. 1 seed, Belhaven (Miss.) is the No. 3 seed and Kansas Wesleyan is the No. 4 seed. Belhaven is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 Coaches’ Poll and KWU is currently unranked.

The game times are currently undetermined due to the threat of inclement weather and thunderstorms in Louisiana, but Biola will play in the very first game in the bracket, facing Belhaven on May 11.

Two games are scheduled for May 11, three are scheduled for May 12 and the championship series is to take place on May 13. See the bracket here.
